About Me Pretty much I am all about my kiddo. She is the center of my universe and I would not change that for anything. For more than 25 years I have been involved with Ren Faires, specifically Scarborough Faire. After 9 years of being a spectator, I decided to get actively involved. I have done everything from performing to selling T shirts. Since 2003 I have been a bartender at the Alehouse Pub. I love my job, but I love my co-worker more! He has been a wonderful guide and a wonderful friend. He and his wife treat me like the kid sister neither of them ever had. I was also involved with Hawkwood (moment of silence here). I so miss that festival! Most lately I have been involved in a new up-and-coming festival called Middlefaire in Hillsboro, TX. I do a lot of promotions and "vendor courting". During that show you will find me hard at work at the Jack Tar Tavern. I also have a mundane job to pay the bills.

Music I like most kinds of music and I have a very eclectic collection. I have everything from Daughtry to Cast in Bronze. I don't care for hip hop or rap.

Movies Most of all I like action adventure movies like the Indiana Jones movies or the Batman movies. I'm totally into fantasy movies. I like comedies, too, but only if they are done in an intelligent manner(i.e. no potty humor, limited slap stick, etc). Of course having a small child, I see a lot of G rated movies. Family friendly movies are a good thing. I can take romantic movies in small doses; not too much into the mushy stuff.

TV TV is one of those things - I can take it or leave it. When I do watch it is shows like Medium and Ghost Whisperer. I will admit to being into Wheel of Fortune. Of course having a small child, I've seen all the Disney - Hannah Montana - Zack and Cody that I can stand!

Books I'm not what you would call a voracious reader. Make no mistake, there are a few series I have been into (I've read all the Harry Potter novels). I do like graphic novels if they are well done.

Likes I am happiest when I am doing things with my family, mostly my daughter, and/or my friends. Love the Ren Faires and my "Fairemily" :D I'm a sucker for kids and animals and my child and my pets have figured this out! (lol) Since my divorce, I have done some travelling and can hardly wait to do more.

Dislikes Smoking - YUCK! When I kiss a man, I don't want to taste an ash tray. I will not tolerate laziness, liars, cheaters, back-stabbers, home wreckers, nosy bodies or people that hurt others. If I see someone hurting a kid or an animal - watch out! That is when I WILL go into mega bitch mode! And I make no apologies for that.

Hobbies Ren faires, movies, pets, graphic novels (mostly JLA), travel, shopping (love shoes!), chilling with my friends

Vices Hmm ... I don't do drugs. I don't smoke. I rarely drink. These are the only vices I can think of and I don't have any of them.

Virtues I am fiercely loyal to my family and friends. When I am in a relationship, I am monogamous (cheating is for losers!). Is intelligence a virtue? If so, then I have that.

Middlefaire! Middlefaire! Middlefaire!

OK - anyone that knows me knows that I have been involved with Middlefaire since the very first year. In addition to working there at the tavern (where else would THE Barmaid work?), I do promotions and I "court" vendors from other faires to come out and give us a try. Most of all, I am the original "Middlefaire Cheerleader".

If you live in the DFW, Waco, Cleburn, or Burleson areas and have not tried Middlefaire, you are missing out on a real treat. This faire is still young enough to be a "patron's faire". The prices are reasonable, admission is reasonable, food and beverages are reasonable. If you live in any of the areas near Hillsboro, will be in that area or would like a roadtrip with some of the most beautiful scenery in Texas (Texas Hill Country), do yourself and your loved ones a favor and come on out.

Middlefaire dates are Sept 27-28 and Oct 4-5. Yours truly will be hard at work in the Jack Tar Tavern.

Good day and well met.

I be Diamond the Barmaid from the shire of Scarborough. I'm a saucy wench that'll serve you tasty brew and take your coin. Get cocky with me and I will toss you out of me pub. Or you can take it up with me boss man, John.

OK - that's Diamond the Barmaid and, yes, that is her attitude. She's saucy, unattainable and a darn good barmaid.

Me, on the other hand, I'm just Diamond. I'm a single mom with a full time job. My latest passion is travel. I just returned from England where I really did go to Scaborough. It is a lovely, lovely, coastal town on England's north shore. The picture is me in front of Stonehenge in Amesbury (actually the outskirts). They had to build a security fence around it because of acts of vandalism and such. (Side not - I have no use for dumb asses that deface treasures like Stonehenge.)

Anyway, this is me. I joined renSpace because I heard so much about it. I have a few friends already on here and I am hoping to make many many more.

I am employed at Scarborough Faire in Waxahachie, TX and Middlefaire in Hillsboro, TX. I patronize other faires like TRF and Lawton. I've also been to ORF (Ohio), CRF (Colorado), The Castle at Muskogee, Tablerock and a few, smaller faires that pop up and are gone. I am hoping to travel to more and more faires and see what is out there. I've been involved with faires since I was 19 and have no plans to ever stop.
